Head Red 2022

Barossa Cabernet is one of our best kept secrets and sometimes you just want it all to yourself! In 2022, I started working with a 1950 planted vineyard on the white wind-blown sands of Ebenezer. There was a wonderful history of wine coming from the vineyard and I knew given time, I could start to create something wonderful. We also have access to small, ½ tonne parcels of old vine Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot to use as blending partners. In its first vintage, this wine earned a place in the Halliday Top 100 Wine of the Year! With time, we hope to produce one of the great cabernets of the Barossa.
